Is this challenge for people who don't:

1) Work
2) Have a Spouse
3) Have a Life

Besides the unemployed, who has time for this?

The challenge is to see who can get closest to 100 films. (Sort of like a baseball player having a perfect 1.000 average for a month. To my knowledge never accomplished, but something to aim for.) I doubt very few will hit the magic number of 100, but it'll be fun to see what films people watch and how high their total count ends up to be. Hopefully, the original poster will list everybody's name who participated in a high to low ranking list on Novemeber 1st.

I also think the total film count should be restricted to the horror/monster genre. (If you want to watch something else, you'll have to do that on your own time (if you have any left .))

100 a month... that sure is a lot! 3 movie a day would be possible during vacation, but I would still need 100movie I want to watch (I don't even own 100movies on dvd) !!

I think my best performance was 7 movie in a row... well only saw 6 because I slept through one.
And otherwise the Lord of the ring trilogie in one evening !

No, it’s for people who:

1) Enjoy watching horror movies
2) Want a good challenge
3) Just want to have fun

Not that I or anyone here has to justify themselves, but I do have a full-time job and a social life...and still find time to do this.

The challenge is still for 100 Horror Films. It’s up to you to decide what you consider a horror film or close to it. Again, it doesn’t have to be a textbook definition of a straight-up horror movie. Some consider “Jaws” a horror film and some don’t. If you like that particular film and consider it part of the horror genre….include it. The same goes for Godzilla flicks and all creature-features, horror-comedies, sci-fi horror, horror documentaries…you name it.

The reason I mentioned you can include other genres (that have absolutely nothing to do with horror) is because this thread also serves as the “What Are You Watching” thread for the month of October….mainly because I’m too lazy to post both threads. If you watch films that have nothing to do with horror, you are posting in the “What Are You…” thread, which DOES NOT count as part of the challenge…if you’re watching strictly horror-related films…the "challenge" is what you’re here for.

Just have fun with it!!!

I am sick (I had surgery earlier in the year and may have to to have more before the end of the year) and out of work because of it. I plan on hitting the hundred mark by Halloween.

I updated my post #76.

1. Mind Hunters
2. Hellraiser Deader(hard, hard movie to watch)
3. Battle Royale

Hopefully 1 and 3 count as horror, Mind Hunters is closer to suspense, but i still count it. I guess BR is an action dramatic horror, so i guess that counts, i hope.

The horror selection seems to be somewhat lacking this year compared to past ones. Still some great stuff though.

Somebody should set up a special new horror movie thread that would last the whole month so we can see what everyone's watching, I think that would be fun to see what everyone is watching and how many we watch. Since everyone is using this thread for now I started with (1) The Evil of Frankenstien last night.
