I work 2 jobs part time (video store and a cinema) and had excellent study notes already for my exams; 2 hours reading per day was adequate.
Is it possible to change username?

Well, I finished with 33. 17 short of my goal. But I'm kinda glad it's over. Now I can finally watch Batman Begins.

Man, Mr. Potatohead racked up serious numbers!

Sorry I failed to complete my schedule and lists....ended up spending more days in the hospital than planned, and have been feeling rotton every other day.

Damn...I was on pace for 240 viddied. Oh well, guess I now can give my full attention to feeling better and working on this 9 dvd shipment I just recieved via Big Brown.

Even though I slipped out of the scene....I would like to say....great thread. Let's do one for Film Noir.

only a month away....Chad are you gonna give this another run....want to make sure someone who can keep the thread up will be the starter.

also a good idea to lay down any ground rules about multiple postings of list, etc.

give everyone a little time to get their catalog and schedules ready for this one...

Well, I looked up my old post and found I did a total of 51 movies which I thought was pretty good. ( http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...&postcount=312 )

I hope to beat my record last year. This was one of my favorite threads since hanging around dvdtalk for so long so I am looking forward to it this year.

One rule I would recommend on the new thread would be to get you a placeholder post and edit it everytime instead of posting what you watched every day in a new post.

This thread also acts as a good suggestion box for lots of flicks. Guess I need to hold off on several horror movies I have in my Netlix pile now.

Can't wait to do this again this year. I've gotten some horror movies lately and decided to save them for the October run.

It's odd, because I was just thinking about this today and holding off on some horror movies I've been wanting to watch!

Last year I didn't do too good watching something like 32 or something like that, so hopefully I can do much better this year!

last year I did quite well, watched around 130, but this year I have an insane school schedule so I'm not sure how many I'll get to. Hopefully I can make it work.

Definitely! I was actually gonna start a new thread yesterday, but have been a little busy lately. I'll try and get the actual thread we'll post in (with all the info) up within the next day or two.

I made it to 23 last year, which is pretty damn high for myself. I don't think I could make it past 30 at most or anything. 100 is just overkill and I'd be exhausted long before that. Hell I was getting tired by the later teen numbers last year, that I had to cut down from double features to one feature in the end.

But I'm game to give it another go and try to watch films from my collection that I didn't watch last year,as well as three upcoming theatrical horror releases. I love horror movies

Figure an hour and a half on average for a horror movie. You'll have to watch five hours worth of material every single day for the whole month of the same genre. My schedule, 8.5 hours a day for work (.5 is for my lunch break), half an hour each way for transportation. Time for dinner, normal getting ready for bed stuff, time with the wife... no way I'll be able to accomplish 100 horror films for October. I'm lucky if I can even fit in all the Friday The 13th, Halloween, Nightmare And Elm St, Chucky films... all in one month. There's the Saw's, Scream's, and I'll even probably like to do a Simpsons marathon of Halloween eps at one time or another. That's just all not happening for me.

Good luck to the rest of you though.

I have plenty of time this year, last year I had a horrible school schedule, but since I'm taking an online course this year, I have more time. So I hope to hit at least 50, I'm not watching any horror films from now until October 1st and I hope I can do good this year!

Also, I know this is way ahead of schedule but I thought I'd throw it out there. I know I started a not so popular Christmas movie challenge last year, but I plan on doing that again this year, but I'm going to have it so people can watch Christmas TV show episodes as well, instead of ONLY movies, and I'll bump it up to 100 probably then (or I might stay with 50, we'll see how it works out)

I might try to go for it again, but I don't really feel like re-visiting all my horror dvds already (Time sure flew by hella fast!) but thank god I've recieved Monsters HD two months ago! This could help me out big time! I'll give it a shot.

I won't be playing ball this year with you guys, sadly. On the upside, I'll instead be on a 5 week kayak and camping trip to the Boundry Waters, with a side stop in Colorado for some serious whitewater. I'm saving all my viddey time for when the snowflakes arrive.

Have fun!

Well, good luck on your trip gut. It's going to be a different contest without you...although it'll definitely up the chances of having a higher score!

BTW, the new thread is up so please continue all discussion there:
