Thank y'all for the great contribution. I guess for those who has owned the previous "5-Star" edition of French Connection, MASH and Speed, it's not necessary to buy #24,25,26.
Strangely, Cleopatra is also a re-release Award series along with the other three (althouth the 3rd disc in the previous 5-star edition was dropped), it's not assigned with a spine #. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's been a long time since anyone posted but I just bought Paul Newman's The Hustler and The Verdict and to my amazement, Hustler was #30 and Verdict was #31. Seems like Fox is still trudging forward with this collection albeit at a slow rate.

Well, it's not like there is any semblance to this collection anyway (no uniform design to any of the cases, no single genre or classification that all the films fall under -- aside from "feature-length films"). So they might as well keep adding in numbers if it's gonna get a few more to buy something they wouldn't normally buy for the sake of having the complete collection. I personally thought they quit this at around #15 until I saw this thread tonight. It's certainly not as coherent as their Studio Classics series or even the Cinema Classics Collection titles.

Ah man, why did I had to find this thread. I have about half of these, and I always thought about completing the set. There are a few of them that I don't really care for though, so I'm torn between getting those that I do want, and leaving a few holes in the series. Does anyone have these all together; I'd love to see them in a pic.

What's crazy about this crazy series is that some of the earlier ones were made with numbers and some without (i.e. Moulin Rouge and Mary). I am not a Planet of the Apes fan so i have yet to get those. I guess I will if I fill in everywhere else. Also, the 3 award series dvds you would have to take the slipcover off for the number to be shown. It definitely isn't the most consistent series.

It's pretty lame, IMO, and definitely not worth spending extra money on just to have the complete range of numbers. I don't think Fox thought it out very well, it's all fairly arbitrary, and personally, I think there's a lot of really bad movies in the list. I say don't waste your money and put it towards something you'll actually enjoy.

Re: Fox Collector DVD spine numbers
There is probably nobody who even cares about these still, but I check back from time to time. I have the entire collection through #31 except for a #8. I looked far and wide for "Something About Mary" with a number to no avail. If anyone still has one, could you post a picture?
My curiosity still gets the best of me sometimes..
Thanks!

I haven't come across #8 yet either, but haven't been looking hard for that one.

number 8 is There's Something More about Mary. Possibly a special edition that wasn't available for very long? Something like X-Men 1.5 maybe? But amazon does still list the title. Not sure if it has the 8 on the spine though.
