ELLEN Season 3 release?
Does anyone know when A&E plans on releasing the third season of ELLEN? Season 2 was released in February and, as far as I know, no release date has been announced for Season 3.

I was wondering that too, so I sent them an e-mail recently.
This was the response I got: Hello Rob, Thank you for contacting A&E Home Video and The History Channel. We do offer ELLEN : THE COMPLETE SEASON ONE (Price: $39.95) and ELLEN : THE COMPLETE SEASON TWO (Price: $49.95) on DVD. We do not, however, have any current plans to release the third complete season. |
WTF??? You've got to be joking. This is not the way I wanted to start my day. Thanks for the update though.

Keep in mind this is basically the same as them saying "We haven't announced anything for season 3 yet." Ask Fox when season 7 of "The Simpsons" is coming and you'll likely get the same response, but we all know it'll be released.

Yup, I've been trying to focus on the word "current" in that e-mail, and ignore the fact that Seasons 1 and 2 were released five months apart, and it's now been seven months since Season 2 was released...
I didn't start watching Ellen regularly until around the time she came out, so I'd never seen the earlier episodes until I bought the DVDs. It's really a great show! I hope they release the remaining seasons. Rob |
Great news! According to TVShowsOnDVD.com, season 3 should be out early next year. Woohoo! Hopefully, seasons 4 and 5 will follow soon after.
