Question About Television DVD's and Commercials
 

I recently just finished making a movie that starts with a fake commercial. To intro the commercial I wanted to use an old tv show that incorporated one of these phrases:

"After these messages, we'll be right back!"
or
"So and So will return after these important messages"
or
Any variation of that!

I don't need the commercials themselves. Just the show's segway...

MY QUESTION: Does anybody know any DVD's that kept those in? It's been my experience that they've cut all those out. So, if anybody knows of a dvd series that kept it in, I'll be very very appreciative!!

BUT, if no DVD's like that exist, can someone recommend a good DVD with older commercials?

I think The Monkees has some of those.

I thionk the G.I. Joe Miniseries set has that.

The old Twilight Zones have something like

"Mr Serling will be back............"

Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons have that

I am hoping the Twin Peaks season two DVDs have the bumpers as well, as ABC taped Lucy doing the bumpers and they would be a nice addition on the DVD.

One episode of Touched by an Angel has that. Pretty sure it's on the season 2 set.

Transformers has it.

"The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show" DVD set has all the segues and ads left on.

I believe Groucho's You Bet Your Life had some of those (as well as some of the "ads" since it was one of those sponsored shows), One Step Beyond did as well. Also check out Alfred Hitchcock Presents he used to have a couple of choice things to say about sponsors ;)
