Nope. As stated above; why wait and defeat the purpose of getting a region free player and eventually get a version of a DVD that is cut in most cases. If this thread was in the International forum you would probably be told to just get a region free player.

I'm confused about this thread. DVDs that I already own that I'd want released? Is this code for *bootleg* titles that I own? Because if I had the official Region 2 (or whatever) version of something, why would I need a Region 1?

If I own it, I own it. I don't care what the region coding is.

Sounds about right to me.

Zero.

If I already have a more than adequate imported release, then there is no reason to wait for an R1 release, unless of course it is superior. And I already have my doubts with that said.

Time to go region free RM. Three of which you mentioned are available and are in as good of shape (even more so in two cases) as you would find in a comparable R1 release.

This thread should have been titled "DVD's that you would like to be officially released in the U.S.". Then we wouldn't have to read through all of the "I have a region free player and you don't." posts.

Confessions of A Serial Killer. The current version I own (Reg 2 I think ) sucks. It is badly edited with all the violence and language cut. However, there are extra scenes not included on the US VHS version.

I don't own this, but I would love to see Erik the Viking get a US release. I'm not holding my breath, though, since I seem to be the only one who ever mentions this title. Film companies don't seem to give a shit when just one person wants to see a movie released. Go figure.

There's a decent 16x9 Eric the Viking out in Region 4. It even has a few extras (some neat vintage featurettes on the making of the film).

Region 4 is not a US release, so this would do me no good. Thanks anyway.
