question about Hero,House of Flyying Dagger releases
Are the region 1 releases cut because i heard a lot of asian movies have been cut when they make the releases here.If it is, where is a good place to get a non cut version.

As far as I know the region 1 release of "House of Flying Daggers" comes with digitally censorship in some fight scenes. The region 2 release (UK) is cut.
Try to get a region 3 dvd (HongKong or Korea).

Hero is not "cut". It is the same 98-minute theatrical cut that played all over the world. There is also an extended 108-minute version available in Hong Kong, but just about anyone who's seen it will tell you that the theatrical version is better. The real problem with the R1 DVD from Miramax is that the subtitle translation has been dumbed-down to simplify the dialogue and plot.
House of Flying Daggers was edited to receive a PG-13 rating in the US. There's a complete list of the differences in this review:

If you are region-free, the R3 releases from Edko in Hong Kong are the best way to go for both movies.
