Can we expect Season 4 in November with the R2 release like Seasons 2 and 3, or are we going to be waiting because of the series hiatus?

Edit: So I guess only Series 3 was released on approximately the same date (11/07) but there was a three month wait from November of 06' until January of '07 for Series 2.

10 30-minute episodes (6 stories), 4 discs, $49.98).

Finally! However, I was really hoping it would be in a few weeks time. I should have known better. I guess I'll be waiting until the Thanksgiving break to plow through the episodes I missed (6-13).

You mean that sale that will take the discount off of the recently repriced product so the price reflects discount from MSRP rather than competitors price price?

That is looking a little weak. So weak I feel like they took two seperate photos and cut each person out and slapped them on there. In the past I know there have been photoshoots prior to see the season that act as promotional pictures. I believe these were used for past covers. Maybe this will change. Is it November yet?

I disagree. Tate's hand seems to be clearly resting on Tennant's arm, lean of her hair and coat align with Tennant's, and the placement of Tennant's left sleeve is consistent with someone pulling it slightly. It looks to me like this is one photo of two people, not two of two.

And the cover seems pretty consistent with the S1-S3 covers to me.

Why are these new Doctor Who Series sets so expensive? You'd think they were Star Trek the way they're priced, except with Trek, you got more than 13 episodes.

Licensing. It's a British TV show being released by an American company.

I like analogies that only certain other people understand. Mostly people on this board.

It's ...OK. I'd give it a "B-" I guess. I got into it more as it went on, but it's a bit more kid-friendly than the regular show. On the plus side, with animation they don't have to work about a special effects budget and have some cool scenes; on the down side, it's not the world's finest animation (particularly at first, I was really distracted by how little the faces moved). The plot is also a rather hokey treasure-hunt kind of riff. I just rented it, and don't think it measures up to the live action series frankly, but it's still worth a view if you're a Who fan of course.

The price on the DVDs of the older series -- that go from $25-$35 per "episode" -- irritate me when you consider that the BBC had so little regard for the series that they trashed the first seven years worth of it.

Yes, I can understand all of the restoration work that goes into these releases, and getting the actors to record commentaries, and all that, but it still kind of burns my ass when I think about it.

The BBC trashed EVERYTHING from that era though, not just Doctor Who. They were trying to save money reusing tapes.

The retail prices are a bit high on the "episodes" although considering that they length of the DVDs is on average about 90-120 minutes it's essentially like buying a special edition of a movie. I usually manage to get the single disc sets for about 9.99-14.99 or so and the two disc sets for about 14.99-19.99 most of the time, which isn't too bad.

Alright, fellow Time Lord fans... please hop in your Tardis and head over to the DVD Reviews forum here (link below). I'd be interested in hearing your personal interpretation of the Morbius vs. Doctor mental battle from THE BRAIN OF MORBIUS.

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/dvd-reviews...ml#post9010745

Surely I can't be the only one who interprets those unfamiliar faces to be those of Morbius' past regenerations?
