Fan-flippin-tastic. I could watch Ducktales everyday all day. This coupled with Muppet Babies were two shows I always found time to watch, much like speedyray well past when I was in the intended demographic. Just really well crafted entertainment.

I saw/checked out that exact link about two weeks ago. I was surprised to see it as well.

Ducktales rocked! Maybe these will sell well and we can also get Darkwing Duck, one of my personal favorites.

Wow, I actually might get these myself. Were the first episodes of duct tales the 5 part story of Scrooge and the other old evil rich scottish duck trying to see which one had the most money? I seem to remember a large island in the sky dumping tons of gold onto a scale. If so I will definitely buy.

We (my brothers and sister) pretty much wore down our vhs copy of Treasure of the Lost Lamp so many, many years ago from watching it so often. I've been waiting for it to show up on DVD ever since I got a dvd player.

Kinda on a side note, but does anybody remember that they "lightened up" the opening of Darkwing Duck after the first season? The original opening was really dark & creepy, but then they redid it with goofy sound effects and some different footage.

no that was somewere in the middle of the first season. The first five episodes were the story about the valley of the golden sun. If these episodes are in order I don't think this volume will get to the scale competition episodes.

Awesome news - both these shows, but especially "Ducktales" were childhood favorites. Both will become part of my collection, hopefully followed by "Tale Spin" and "Darkwing Duck" (among others.)

CBS, actually - and yes, it is a Disney property.

It ran on the Disney Channel for many years and currently airs on Toon Disney.

Rumoured episodes content of Duck Tales from tvshowsondvd.com:

http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/newsitem.cfm?NewsID=3913

In our previous news story, we told you that DuckTales on DVD will be a 3-disc set that goes for $34.99 SRP. Our new best friend tells us that there will be 27 episodes on this release, and ought to follow in general airdate order as a "Volume 1" release. The list we were given (below) does seem to follow the TV.com episode guide, but it does NOT include the pilot telefilm "Treasure of the Golden Suns", however. It starts at the first regular episode and continues from there:

1) "Send In The Clones"
2) "Sphinx For The Memories"
3) "Where No Duck Has Gone Before"
4) "Armstrong"
5) "Robot Robbers"
6) "Magica's Shadow War"
7) "Master Of The Djinni"
8) "Hotel Strangeduck"
9) "The Lost Crown Of Genghis Khan"
10) "Duckman of Aquatraz"
11) "The Money Vanishes"
12) "Sir Gyro de Gearloose"
13) "Dinosaur Ducks"
14) "Hero For Hire"
15) "Superdoo!"
16) "Maid Of The Myth"
17) "Down And Out In Duckberg"
18) "Much Ado About Scrooge"
19) "Top Duck"
20) "The Pearl Of Wisdom"
21) "The Curse Of Castle McDuck"
22) "Launchpad's Civil War"
23) "Sweet Duck Of Youth"
24) "Earthquack"
25) "Home Sweet Homer"
26) "Bermuda Triangle Tangle"
27) "Microducks From Outer Space"

We're also told that no extras have been mentioned so far. We're hoping that changes, of course, since this and Chip & Dale's Rescue Rangers are only the second and third Disney DVD season-set releases of an animated series, and the first one - Gargoyles - has had some supplements.
