The Netflix disc is bare-bones - just the movie. The extras on the upcoming disc (especially the Z Magazine covers) sound great. Excellent documentary, especially for fans of the legendary channel. Can't wait for this one!

Caught this at last year's Toronto International Film Festival and loved it! Very interesting and highly recommended...

Directed by Alexandra (Xan) Cassavetes, daughter of John Cassavetes.

While I can certainly watch it again (mostly because of all the cool bits of info on a lot of the movies mentioned), that dude was definitly a human pile of garbage. He had the great fortune to marry such a wonderful woman, and he goes and kills her? At least he had the good sense to off himself.

Haven't picked up the disc yet, but since I now know how to post images I thought I'd share this picture:

Cool. Those are from your own video collection Alan? Damn I envy anyone who had that channel.

I loved the documentary. Found every bit of it fascinating. This was my first exposure to Z channel and it was amazing to hear that it existed. Only thing is it makes it even more depressing nothing out there on my TV comes remotely close. It was cool when IFC was showing a few of the movies featured in the docu like Bad Timing, Important Thing Is To Love and Overloard. I only wish they showed more instead of the same limited crop of movies they endlessly rotate.

I have not picked this up yet either, but it looks great all around.

I saw this on IFC a few months back & it's really interesting stuff if you're a film buff. Definitely will pick this up soon.

Just ran across this on Harry's DVD list (AICN). I immediately added it to my wantlist, because it looked so fucking intriguing. Glad to see that there was a thread about it (and that it got bumped on the very day that I heard about the film). I'll be checking it out.

I picked this up last week and I can't leave it alone. Watched it 3 times already, and I want to see it again but am afraid of burnout. Great film doc.
