They should put a warning sticker on the dvd that "THIS DVD DOES NOT CONTAIN DISCO MUSIC".

The movie is PG, right? The warning before the INHD airing this morning says it's R. Did it get re-rated?
|
And another thing... the end of the film shows a Paramount logo. Didn't MGM release the DVD?
|
All of the music is also changed in the dvd set release of "The greatest American Hero". Kinda takes away from the show a bit.
|
I need to keep an eye out for this on the 'net. Hopefully, someone's a big enough fan to author something..

is that a warning or a promise... ;) |
Don't get me started with the 'ROSWELL' series and their music changes. At least they were able to keep the opening song, Dido but I bet that cost a pretty penny. The show is what got me to buy her album.

Well, I checked the copy I tivoed in HD. It HAS the song! :)
And it looked REALLY good! :) d And I remembered that I had the hots for Susan Saint James! |
I notice the Sopranos have all this classic rock music in their shows where it's not really needed. Why would they do this if it's such a hassle to put the music on dvd?
|
No hassle with recent stuff. Music rights for dvd are worked out ahead of time. Studio doesn't have to pay extra to include them on the dvd. With pre dvd shows and movies the studio has obtain(pay) for the rights to include it on the dvd.
|
So if a studio has to pay extra because of one song for a movie they own.
Then do they pay the stars of the movie and director again? And if they use the poster art work from 1979 on the dvd cover they have to pay for that too? |
Isn't this also why we have yet to see any more seasons of Happy Days on DVD? Thought I read that somewhere.
