Great News....pumped
|
This is really good news. I had posted just a day or two before that this is one of my desired box sets. I've been enquiring about this for years. Now if I can only afford it and the additional 9 seasons that followed it!!!
Actually AHP lasted 7 seasons of 30 minute episodes. It was then expanded to 1-hour episodes for an additional 3 seasons and called The Alfred Hitchcock Hour. This show was a regular in my house when I was growing up. BobB |

I don't care about extras... just give me a high quality transfer of uncut episodes and I'll be happy. |
If you're a hitch fan will you like this? Did he write or direct any of the episodes? Never seen the show.
|
he directed 17 of the half hour episodes which were previously available through buying the hitchcock box sets from universal...he also did 2 hour long tv movie episodes. of course all of these were spread out over several years.
his bumpers alone are great though |
Great news! I've had a lot of these taped off syndicated (read: trimmed) broadcasts from several years ago, and it will be a pleasure to dump those tapes.
(Also, notice that this has 39 episodes: that was the norm back then for regular shows, and the actual content for a half-hour show was about 25 minutes. Nowadays a regular half-hour show runs about 21 minutes and has maybe as many as 26 episodes.) |
