SleepAway Camp "Red Cross" Edition - recent resurfacing...

Hey all,

I know this was covered a while ago in another thread, but I can't find it now. Anyway, I have noticed many "Red Cross" editions of the SAC boxsets at local best buys. Has anyone else noticed this? Also, I am asumming the value isn't what it once was. I believe someone said they were going for high $30's without any bids on eBay. I just don't know if I should bother going out to pick them up...

Thanks,

Matt

Didn't the Best Buy ones have an exclusive bonus disc with something about Sleepaway Camp 4? Those might be worth more.

I have been looking for the red cross edition at a reasonable price for about a year now with no luck. They have been too expensive on ebay. If some old stock are resurfacing I may have to stop by my local BB to see if they have any now. Do you know what the current price at BB is?

Well it all depends. They're very low budget horror films. They're low budget and corny. Some people can't stand that. Some people consider those type of films to be the true heart of horror films. So, if you like the low budget corny but entertaining horror films, these are for you.

i believe BB sells the box for 23.99

I got the Red Cross with Bonus disc the day it came out... I love all 3. The first tries to amek itself be like a 'real' horror film, while the sequels (filmed at the same time) are more or less comedys.

I got this set in January of Last year at Best Buy for $24.99, they even had the fourth disc. Great flicks for the price.

I was in Best Buy today and found the Red Cross cover just sitting on a cart on the center aisle. I grabbed it right away and then went to the horror section to see if my eyes were deceiving me. Sure enough, there remaining sets had the new covers.
It was $23.99 so I bought it. I knew it was OOP, but wasn't sure if it had much value. Ebay turned up nothing, but an opened set sold for about $30.
