Take the MST3K DVD poll...

http://www.mst3kinfo.com/poll.html

Vote on future titles!

RyoHazuki 07-10-05 05:30 PM

Everyone please vote for Zombie Nightmare (604) for at least one of them.

chemosh6969 07-10-05 05:37 PM

I want the uncut versions of movies like they were doing the first couple of collections.

I'll vote for that if you vote for Episode 910 "Final Sacrifice". That episode MUST be released!

That's something else everyone needs to vote for. Also, subtitles wouldn't hurt.

The Infidel 07-10-05 05:51 PM

I voted for my favorite episode, Untamed Youth.

milo bloom 07-10-05 06:12 PM

I came to start a thread asking everyone to list some episodes for me to put in. I don't know enough of them by name and number.

I'm your puppet, let me have it!

The link in the first post has another link to a list of episodes not available on DVD yet. You should be able to use that with IMDb to find any episode you may have in mind, but don't know the name of.

Adam Tyner 07-10-05 06:44 PM

I voted for <i>The Day the Earth Froze</i> (my all-time favorite episode), <i>Attack of the the Eye Creatures</i> (sic), <i>The Painted Hills</i>, <i>The Beast of Yucca Flats</i>, and even though there's no chance of it happening with the whole Sandy Frank debacle, <i>Godzilla vs. Megalon</i>.

Shack 07-10-05 06:55 PM

Earth vs. the Spider (#313) is a great one.

Also the Ed Wood trilogy:
Bride of the Monster (#423)
The Violent Years (#610)
The Sinister Urge (#613)

buckee1 07-10-05 08:34 PM

I went with the <b>Gamera</b> flicks and a couple of <b>Godzilla</b> titles.

eXcentris 07-10-05 08:46 PM

Thanks for the link, after 4+ years on this forum, I finally know what the heck MST3K means. :)

Cameron 07-10-05 09:17 PM

you could have just asked...

uncut versions of movies would start me buying again

If I may be so bold, I recommend checking for MST episode reviews and descriptions at:

Thanks for the update, I don't check the website much.

Hard to pick my five favorites but I don't think they could go wrong releasing:

904: Werewolf (He's a Wherewilf?)
903: Puma Man (...Donald Pleasance and the fortress of balditude)
703: Deathstalker and the Warriors From Hell (Potatos are what WE eat)
614: The Sinister Urge (..So they put more clothes on her than she's ever had o n in her life)
414: Tormented

Zombie Nightmare would be a great addition too, though...just barely decided not to pick that one...Adam West is pretty bad in this one;)

Some of these titles are impossible for them to release though aren't they? Dosen't MGM/Sony control movies like "Alien from LA", and a few others?

I think there are ways around everything.

For instance, they didn't use a US print of DIABOLIK for the show, which would make it easier to secure.

Did my part. Voted for some Sci-Fi era goodness and DVD extras.

We should probably steer away from voting on some of those though... since more than likely the rights would be impossible to get. Any of the Universal releases for example (Leech Woman, Black Lagoon II, etc.)

Anything that's already on DVD now most likely would fall into that category too. Squirm, Alien from LA, etc.

I wish there was an option to vote for "New Episodes with Existing Titles in the Rhino Library".

Interesting, I'm wondering if that is the case though. Because home video rights are completely different than the rights they would aquire to feature the movie on the show.

Something like "Squirm" which MGM/Sony ownes, I can't see that NOT being a problem.

devynal 07-11-05 01:50 PM

Jack Frost, Quest of the Delta Knights, The Screaming Skull, Squirm, and Giant Spider Invasion I think I put.

darkside 07-11-05 02:13 PM

Just voted on this a few days ago.
My top 5:
306 TIME OF THE APES
422 THE DAY THE EARTH FROZE with short: HERE COMES THE CIRCUS
323 THE CASTLE OF FU-MANCHU
314 MIGHTY JACK
307 DADDY-O with short: ALPHABET ANTICS

Wanted to give Mike Nelson some love, but we really need more early Comedy Central era stuff on DVD.

Are some of these impossible? Maybe, but if they get enough requests they might spend the money to get at least one of the expensive ones on a future set. Even Sandy Frank might change his mind if the money is right.

I'm sure Paramount would disagree.

That's why Wikipedia exists.

This is one of things I don't understand. They used TV sydication versions of many movies. Do they have to clear the rights with the person that owns the sydicated version and with the studio that owns the film rights?
