And I think I read somewhere that the creators had a ton of stuff to put into the dvd, but Fox didn't give a damn. |
They're probably waiting to see how the set sells and then they'll do a "special edition" release ;)

Allright, here's a million dollar question -- why is Babylon 5 on the SAaB DVD menus?

At this point I'm just glad to have the opportunity to get the show on DVD! This is a marginal title as far as demand goes, and that they put it out at all is fantastic. They could have easily just saved their money and put it into something else.
It would have been nice if they had put more effort into the set, but since I wasn't sure if I'd even have the opportunity to buy it at all I'm thankful that they put it out! |

Let's not turn this into another Babylon 5 fiasco. |
If they were shot 16x9 and the FX were delivered in 16x9, I want to watch 16x9 NOT 4:3. Like I said, I could care less how it aired. I appreciate your feedback though, thanks for trying to clear it up. :) I just couldn't watch it knowing there was more to the picture then what I was seeing. Why spend all the extra money rendering the FX, if they knew it would never be seen? Oh, and I won't argue this any further. I don't want to derail the thread either.

http://wcnews.com/loaf/babylon5.jpg Yep, this looks like a cheap, quickie release. Too bad, although it's good that fans finally get all of the episodes on something that is (presumably) better than the quality of VHS dubs. |
I wonder if they are going to get recalled because of it?

4:3 is the OAR for this show. |

Great show. Glad to see it receive a DVD treatment. Will wait for a better DVD treatment or at least a wider release. If not will get it as is...just not now. Thanx.

I doubt we'll ever see a re-release of this title. We're damn lucky to get it at all, so let's be happy. It's a good quality transfer in 4X3, which is how it originally aired. I'm an OAR nut too, but this is fine by me.
It's been a loooong time coming! |
