New Invasion o/t Body Snatchers ???

I was checking out Sony's website for new DVD releases. I came upon a new release for the Donald Sutherland version of Body Snatchers. I was suprised as hell to see that this was slipped in under our nose's, but curious because I cant find anywhere to order it.

Its suppose to be released June 14th, I sure hope so.

Does anyone here heard any info on this release?????

Here's a link to the website...

Looks like the same disc with a different cover.

Have to wait and see with this one.

I just watched mine the other night. It's a great flick! I dig that cover, but I'd never double-dip just for a nicer cover. If they had so more extra features and a different cover, I'd have to think twice.

According to the web site, this has the same extras as the disc that came out years ago. Only the cover looks different. I'm pretty sure that this is just a new addition to the Sony web site because it's an MGM DVD, not because it's actually a "new" (meaning, changed content) DVD. Sony has slowly been integrating the MGM catalog into its operations. It doesn't even list the DVD at its press site.

Thanks for the close up, that was too funny.

Where's the nice special edition of the original? That's what I want, dammit. I need my anti-commie-propaganda-sci-fi-goodness!

Are you talking about the Don Siegel version? Because that film is a HOOT!

Really? I(& many others) still find it a very frightening tense suspensful piece of work

Now what we need are 16.9 edition of the remake..and O.A.R. release of the original(it was actually 1:33:1..but matted after the fact to 2:1 by the distributor to cash in on cinemascope).

Anyone saw the other remake Body Snatchers (1993). ?

I thought it was okay, didn't like the setup on the military base. Highlight of the movie was seeing Gabrielle Anwar topless although she did'nt really have much of a top or lack of.
