Isn't there a SE in the works for next year to tie-in with the theatrical remake? You might want to hold out for that.

Thats why.

There's also the upcoming Rockstar game. Looks awesome so far. As for the so called uncut version; it is really just the TV version which was first shown on ABC back in the early 80's.

NatrlBornThrllr, you were right.

Cameron 06-26-05 09:44 PM

i show a 10.04.05 release date for the new edition of the warriors.

I listed it in Cameron's Big Release List June Edition

I originally posted this on 05.26.05 in post 21 of Cameron's Big Release List May Edition

My source is The Digital Bits it was posted in their rumor mill page on 05.25.05

Hmmm, the Internet (as we know it) has been around for over 10 years now and you're just now getting into it?

Six additional minutes were edited back in for the TV version,
but a lot was cut out, so any complete version would be a composite.

Why would he be your sister if he is a he?

DVDAnswers now has the cover art up for this:

Paramount Home Entertainment has kindly sent over the official artwork for a new ultimate collector's edition of The Warriors which stars the likes of Michael Beck, James Remar, Dorsey Wright and Brian Tyler. This 1979 Walter Hill directed film, will be available to own from the 4th October this year. I'm afraid we have no word on extra material for this one at the moment, but we'll let you know just as soon as we hear anything. Stay tuned.
It is labeled as the "Ultimate Director's Cut". I'm hoping this includes more footage than just the extended opening sequence that is sometimes included in TV airings.

Fantastic! My "spider sense" had been making me hold off on getting the original disc and I could never understand why.... now I do. :D

Kudos to Paramount for dressing this up as a non-typical Paramount cover. Looks nice, but too bad they couldn't get a shot of the whole gang. Kinda spoileriffic to have
Spoiler:
Just the remaining members of the gang who make it til the end. AJAX DESERVES TO BE IN THERE!

But still, this will be mine all mine.
