PAL>NTSC port? That would make sense, but I thought Tartan was trying to make a real commitment to quality?

Anyway, I'd wait for the reviews on this one. The R3 Starmax "Final Edition" might be the better way to go for NTSC folks.

No go for Oldboy at Best Buy today. Their computer shows it pushed to a 9/6/05 release. Can anyone confirm?

It doesn't appear available at any Best Buy in my area and is also not in stock at Border's. What's the deal? I was really looking forward to getting this today.

same here. check the thread on the bargain board. myself and another person have struck out at circuit city. another just posted that frys didn't have any either. something's fishy.

I called Circuit City this morning, and the clerk told me that it wasn't in stock but it is priced at $12.99. I haven't checked Best Buy but I'm not hopeful on finding it there based on what everyone has been saying in the bargain thread. I decided to bite the bullet and pick it up at Coconuts for $16.99. The clerk there couldn't find it on the shelves, but finally saw it behind the counter waiting to be put out.

Is anyone finding this disc anywhere? I'm hoping to go out shopping in another hour and am wondering if there's any store I should check out or if this had officially and unexpiliably been delayed.

My DDD order of Oldboy shipped two days ago.

mine from DDD shipped yesterday. Used free shipping though, so im not expecting it til next week.

I ordered it at overstock.com, but hasn't shipped yet.

Someone from a thread in the DVD Bargains forum said that he picked it up at Coconuts for $16.99.

Recieved my copy of Old Boy last Saturday from DVD Pacific and watched it last night. Buzzing around Best Buy today I didn't see it any where and got blank stares when I asked about it.

I rented it at hollywood video today

Went to a couple of HMVs and Sunrise Records in Toronto who normally stock foreign new releases, and was told this was delayed until Sep 20. Can anyone confirm this, or is there a place in TO where I can pick this up? I might just order it off of a site if that is the case.

I found it in Tower Records in the Philadelphia area. To answer Jago's question the dvd is not a PAL->NTSC port, and the film is a full 120 minutes.

I was told September 20th by HMV Bloor as well. I'm sure it'll turn up sooner. I'm counting on BAY ST. VIDEO or SUSPECT VIDEO to pick it up.

BAY ST. VIDEO will be special ordering OLD BOY for me, and AUDITION: Special Edition, which also didn't show up today.

I saw 2 copies each of Oldboy and Audition at a local music/video store in Portsmouth, NH today. 12.99 I think.

So after checking my local Best Buy (had to pick up Audition, Six Feet Under, and Truman Show) as well as Border's (which has 5 on order but not even in transit yet) and CompUSA just to check, I'm just wondering if there's any explanation of this not showing up in B&M. If this is delayed, I'd like to know. Otherwise I'm gonna order it from a local independent that I work at. I really want to watch this sometime before the weekend is over if possible since I know I can expect my first semester of law school to really pick up. Anyone have any answers?

I was also told it was delayed until september 20 at an HMV in Montreal. Maybe it's only a Canadian delay, it has happened before for other films.

I had no luck finding this at Future Shop or Best Buy. I ended up ordering online through Amazon.ca.

For anyone who lives in NYC. Best Buy, Circuit City, and J&R didn't have it. So I went to Barnes & Nobles in Union Square and it wasn't out, so I asked for it and they had it for 23.02 with tax.
