There were four seasons and two made for TV movies.

I never watched the show when it aired. I just finished watching season one on DVD a few weeks ago and I am hooked. I can't wait for season two.

Cool. I had no idea season 1 of The Pretender even came out on DVD. One of my favorite shows from the 1990s. Got to check out the DVD store for this one. Thanks for the heads up.

1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen?

Were these filmed in widescreen or are they cropping this release? IMDB (which may or may not be correct) lists the aspect ratio as 1.33:1.

As per tvshowsondvd.com:

Fox has informed us that the second season of The Pretender will be delayed one week. The set will be released on September 20 instead of September 13.

I guess a week isn't that big a deal. I will just switch a few orders around so it doesn't interfere with me getting another dvd on time and all is well.

I wish that the stars of the show were more active on these dvd's. The core cast of Weiss, Parker, Bauchau and Gries was a solid bunch that held things together despite some of the very poor characters (and sometimes plots) that surrounded them.
