ECW Heatwave '98: How much does the DVD go for?
http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
I just looked on eBay and there aren't any listed (legit R1 releases I mean), and I don't see any as being sold over the past few weeks. I then went to Amazon, and some goober has one listed there but his price is $1,000 for it. How much do these realisticly go for? |
|
Doubtful they'll get it back in stock as it's now out-of-print. I guess it sells for whatever someone is willing to pay for it.
|
Looking at completed auctions on ebay, the highest one recently went for $19.99 with a Buy it Now. There is a current auction that is up to $26.00, and I have doubts that it would reach anywhere near $1000. That guy on Amazon is just looking for a sucker.
|
I got that one about three years ago, and I can tell you I don't plan to part with it as it is arguably one of the best PPVs ECW did. If you have the cash, try and get the Path of Destruction DVD as well as Anarchy Rulz '99.

Where in the world are you finding that? |

I was at Heatwave 98, it was here in Dayton (we even have a few blips of camera time - we were in the 2nd row ringside). Have the DVD and a recording of the PPV. Definitey a good show, but I wouldn't go over $30 for the DVD.
|
I was lucky enough to be at the show too, I need to either buy the dvd or convert my original ppv VHS broadcast to DVD. I think it was the best ECW ppv they had too....Mike Awesome vs Masato Tanaka was one of the best matches I've ever seen.
|
I've got it and while there's some good stuff, if the right price came along, I'd have no problem parting with it. As a rule of thumb, I think most ECW material is overrated.
|
ecw! ecw! ecw!
I too was at the show in Dayton, OH. How I miss ecw. The ppv that the wwe is trying to pull off tomorrow better be good.
|
If you have the ability to view PAL DVDs you might want to look at getting the UK release. The Pioneer version released in North America has all the ring entrances cut due to music rights. This site claims to have it in stock:

Wow a lot of people here were in Dayton that night....I was there as well. Great show although I liked Heatwave 99 (which I was at too) better. The Dudley's went nuts on the crowd that night...I thought there was going to be a riot.

$1000? That's insane.
Really the R1 has all the ring entrances cut? I didn't know. Do other R1 ECW DVDs have ring entrances cut? I have: Barely Legal (autographed by Spike and D-Von) Wrestlepalooza '97 Deep Impact Uncensored Path of Destruction The Best of Cactus Jack (autographed) Heavewave 99 Guilty as Charged 2001 (last official ECW PPV) And of course I have the Rise and Fall of ECW (autographed by Dawn Marie, Spike, D-Von, and Foley) |
How did you manage those autographs?

On another note, is Anarchy Rulz '99 a good PPV?
