I bought the current DVD just five days ago, so I guess it's time to go over to eBay.

What a coincidence! I just watched: The Fly & The Fly II Double feature DVD a few minutes ago, and now this

Instead of doing another remake of this film, it would be cool if they could do a "Freddy vs. Jason" type movie between The Fly and Mosquito Man.
Now, that would be worth paying to see! http://images.dvdempire.com/gen/movies/673091.jpg |
Butterfly Baby?! Monkey cat?! Finally, a true "Tricked-Out Edition". Can't wait!
|
Great news. Didn't really care for II, but I'll be salivating for that original SE!
|
I'm all over the Fly: SE
|
I'm glad the retail is going to be $19.99 rather than the $26 that was previously mentioned.

Now, that would be worth paying to see! Nay--Brundlefly versus Shelob from LOTR: The Return of the King! Yeah, that's the ticket! :hump: :johnwoo2: |
This is a bit of a dilema for me. I've never been a HUGE fan of part 2, but gladly accepted it as part of the double feature. Now that I'm dumping the original bare bones and double-dipping... do I get the 2nd one too? Damn... I'm honestly not sure. I'll probably wait on it and see if I miss it. But, knowing me, I probably will.
That's a sure sign of addiction. Worrying that you don't have the new SE of a thoroughly mediocre film that you don't even watch often. |

hooray! we all finally get to see the famous "monkey-cat" deleted scene!!!
the only reason I liked the sequel was the very pretty cool head squashing by elevator scene. |
Love, love, love The Fly II.

Ha ha.
DVD Answers just put up the artwork for II. Kinda creepy, IMO. http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?...burl=p%3D48%26 |
David Cronenberg is a GOD!!! And Jeff Goldblum is Cool as Hell!!! So therefore I shall pick up The Fly:SE.
|
I hope the first Fly has better cover art...but still, the content is excellent.
|
DVD Answers is reporting a one week delay for these sets:
http://www.dvdanswers.com/index.php?...6857&n=1&burl= They'll now be released October 4th. Could a mod change the thread heading? |
They need to post the artwork for The Fly NOW!!!
I wonder if it'll be like the poster art, something new, or something with... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...er2004/002.jpg |
I haven't seen this film in years- always one of my favorites but I had forgotten about it. Special Edition sounds good, can't wait to see it. I remember the effects being plenty gruesome when I was younger - I'm curious to see if they still hold up.
Sequel never did much for me but had the great line "I'm getting better" |
Since I have put off getting either of these I will be picking up both. Obviously the first was great but I enjoyed the second enough to buy it as well (assuming a reasonable price).
|
I'll be picking up both of these as well. Haven't seen them both in quite a while and the special features sound like they're worth picking it up.
