Finally! Deer Hunter, The Sting & To Kill A Mockinbird: SEs --> Sept. 6th!

Thanks, Universal!

Yes, in addition to a sparkling new transfer of "To Kill A Mockingbird", we finally get anamorphic widescreen prints of "The Sting" and "The Deer Hunter"

Kant,
I believe Mao is an industry "insider" (Mao, please correct me if I'm wrong) of some sort and often is privy to information before official announcements are provided. If he says these titles are coming out on that date, you can pretty much take that to the bank as being true.

Great to hear that the long wait for The Sting in anamorphic widescreen is finally over.

I cannot wait for these!

Two of my favorite films! I hope and pray they use the Criterion Collection Laserdisc cover for The Game SE, that would be the best.

Great News on To Kill a Mockingbird. I hope they really do a great job on the new transfer. I guess I can get rid of my old copy of To Kill A Mockingbird then.

How will they top the SE of 'Mockingbird' that came out a few years ago? I'm a bit naive when it comes to picture quality. but it looked fine to me. & the extas were great.

Been waiting for a widescreen release since I picked up the pan & scan version a few years ago. And a 2 disc SE? That's incredible.

Looking forward to getting Mockingbird too, as I was waiting for the anamorphic transfer on that one.

I've been dying to get this since I saw it for the first time 3 years ago. Watched the P&S version but didn't want that cluttering up my shelf. There is plenty of room though for a "the Sting: SE" anamorphic dvd.

Can't wait to watch it again.
