Julia (1977) DVD release date?
 

Does anyone know if/when "Julia" (1977; Redgrave/Fonda) will be released on DVD? Amazon had it available for pre-order several months ago with a release date of (I think) 6/7/05, but now they're saying only that the release date is "to be announced".

Any information would be appreciated.

Maybe once Jane Fonda's "Monster In-Law" debuts on DVD, then this title will be simultaneously released. Hopefully, I've been wanting to pick it up myself. Same type of thing happened to Jack Lemmon's "Save the Tiger" earlier this year. It's so frustrating, since there seem to be rereleases of other titles over and over again, yet these films don't even exist on DVD.

That makes sense, about holding it up until the DVD release of "Monster-in-Law". I certainly hope you're right, although that could be a while. I've been wanting "Julia" and a couple of other older films on DVD for a long time, and I agree with you - it is very frustrating.
