Flowers of St. Francis, excellent cinema, I have been thinking of buying the R2 version. But now I get to wait for it on criterion, goody!

The only one that really interests me is Boudu, and I've had the Optimum R2 PAL release for quite a while.

I'm really getting tired of all the <i>jidai-geki</i>.

Wendersfan, i'm still waiting for Criterion to release of Kings of the Road, Le Samourai and Spanking the Monkey. However, a release of Harakiri is really beyond reproach... as a film fan, you should know this!

Excellent, I really hope this bodes well for Criterion eventually releasing my favorite Kobayashi, Samurai Rebellion!

Great selections but I'm ready for my Crash: Criterion. They released Videodrome this time last year and I was hoping they would follow suit with another Croenberg.

Am I missing something? :confused:

Oh, my, yes... Spanking the Monkey is the first feature film by David O. Russell and it currently lacks a DVD release. I believe New Line has the rights.

is there some annual DVD award for best covers, cause Criterion certainly takes the cake for having the most unique and artistic.

Looks like The Flowers of St. Francis is listed twice. The same images come up for #293 and #302.

their 2005 catalog lists Au Revoir Les Enfants as 293, but that wouldn't be the first time something changed since a catalog was printed either......

so the posted numbers in previous posts are not completely correct.

Huh...well, I'm certainly disappointed about the lack of Au Revoir Les Enfants, but the good thing is that these are three titles I've never seen, and this will give me the opportunity to see them.

Hopefully we'll be getting Au Revoir Les Enfants, along with Ran and the other rumored titles, before the end of the year...or someday, at least....
