Looks like they revealed a few of the extras.

Wireless on-field recordings of David Ortiz, Johnny Damon, Kevin Millar, and Mike Timlin

Pre-game and post-game interviews with Manny Ramirez, Pedro Martinez, Jason Varitek, and Curt Schilling

Celebrity fan interviews with Seth Meyers and Ben Affleck.
At least its not Dennis Leary and Jimmy Fallon

Anamorphic? <-I'm spoiled by NESN HD broadcasts (can't fucking stand it when the HD feed is broadcast through whatever "ugly filter" they use over at Fox-HD), and I saw all these games in HD... so, you know, I'm hoping for quality transfers.

And, for an extra feature, a good long lingering montage of the faces of dejected Yankees fans after Game 7. The disbelief, the pain, the hatred... let my schadenfreude flow.

150% agreed - the HD on FOX is just not good. It looks like there's a Vasoline smear going on. ESPN's (and ABC's) HD is pretty good, but NESN has the sharpest (besides INHD 1 & 2)

I was thinking the same thing last week. It'll be real disappointing to have this great set presented in 4:3.

Wow, this is what I've been wanting all along! I refused to buy those stupid highlight dvds, just like I hate buying greatest hits cds.
If this is anamorphic ws I'll be all over this for xmas. Either way I'll be getting it for my nephew because he doesn't care either way.

anyone pick this up yet and give it a spin? I know it came out today but I would not be suprised if some stores around N.E. broke the street date

most interested in finding out if it's the Fox broadcast only or if they (please, please, please!) may have gotten the rights to include WEEI's radio feed as an alternate audio track

on dvdempire, they put the back of the box on their site and it says at the very bottom "these are the actuall original broadcasts archived, so they may contain minor video/audio errors" so that means they probably went to fox or nesn and transfered the original broadcast sans commercials ect. (wasn't one of the games 5 hours?, wonder how they were able to fit the entire game on just one disc.
also, itll probably be a while before "professional" reviews start showing up, because of the 35 hour length for the game footage.

So has anyone watched this? I just popped in game 4, and there is static or something at the top of the screen. Very annoying. Anyone else with this problem? This is the only dvd I've watched so far.

I can't pay that much, for something I'll watch 1-2 times max. Looks like a cool set though.

Are these the original FOX broadcasts of the games, or some lame "international" broadcasts? The biggest disappointment with those Super Bowl DVDs is that the "entire game" they put on the disc isn't the broadcast from the American network, but some international broadcast with radio annoucers.

They're the Fox broadcasts, with the annoying commercial lead-ins ("tonight's game is brought to you by..."

I picked this up at Sam's Club for $69.88. It was 99.99 at Best Buy.
