According to Ron Epstein over at HTF he's received info indicating that Paramount has canceled the Martin/Lewis box Volume 1.

Anyone here have any info as to whether this is just a postponement or were these really axed?

Randy Salas, have you heard from Chris Lewis recently about these?

To me, the best film Jerry Lewis ever starred in without Dean Martin and not directed by him is ...

(1958) and I sure would like to see it on DVD soon.

Or, as they say in France:

The Geshia Boy was good but my favorite two are Who's Minding the Store and It's only Money, which all 3 aren't out on DVD yet. And I might add I would get all 3 of theese on release day.

All three of those films were directed by Frank Tashlin and they would make a great set. I have only seen the other two on TV. But I saw «The Geisha Boy» on the BIG SCREEN in VistaVision, Technicolor and Stereophonic sound when it came out. Being both a first impression of a sixteen-foot-tall Jerry Lewis and a childhood memory, it of course struck me as something very modern and very daring. The sight gags - the most spectacular of which is a portly Sumo-wrestler/gangster emptying an indoor swimming pool and flooding a whole Tokyo suburban street in the process by simply falling into it - were almost unbearably funny in that format.

I also liked the message of an American good-hearted nitwit bonding with the natives to the best of his ability in a recently-occupied Japan. This is a film that did a lot for world peace and good international relations.

To me, it's right up there with the films of Jacques Tati («Monsieur Hulot's Holiday» and «Mon Oncle»). It was also directed by Frank Tashlin, the master of the violent cartoon and the live-action sight gag, and Jerry Lewis's directing mentor.

Paramount will be re-releasing ten of its Jerry Lewis titles on October 25th as Jerry Lewis: "The Legendary Jerry" Collection at an attractive combined price of $60. The titles are The Bellboy, Cinderfella, The Delicate Delinquent, The Disorderly Orderly, The Errand Boy, The Family Jewels, The Ladies Man, The Nutty Professor, The Patsy and The Stooge. This is apparently timed to coincide with the previously-announced release of the My Friend Irma double bill.

This DVD set is being resurrected by Paramount as The Jerry Lewis 10 Film Collection with a release date of 6/12/2018:

Well, It's been a few years since I posted this question. So i'll answer my own question. Yes, they were finally released. Don't remember when right now. But I was very happy with both of these releases.

Anyone know if those fascinatingly horrible 2 French films he made in the early/mid 80s ever made it to DVD anywhere? One of them I’ve only seen in French, and both in terrible quality.

Got this delivered just yesterday. Nice to see it back in print in any format, if only to counter the inflated pricing that people have been charging since the original set went out of print. For those who care, it's 10 discs in a double-wide DVD case with flip trays and a slipcover, and even though they're probably just clearing out old discs in new packaging, at +/-$20 it's a better deal than the original set was when new.
