The Wild Bunch: A Possible SE?

I just found out that a Wild Bunch SE might not be inlcuded in a Sam Peckinpah collection to be released in 2006. Is there any news on when a new version of this classic film will come out. It really needs a 2-Disc WB Special Edition treatment.

No info to offer but a s.e would be great, especially after watching straw dogs, i 'd like to get into more of peckinpah's films.
