G-MEN FROM HELL ...which one to buy?
 

This is a movie adaptation of the comic book from DARK HORSE COMICS and there are both a regular version and a Special Edition. With what little information DDD has, it appears the SE is 8 minutes shorter. Mistake or what? Does anyone have more info to direct me?

I have the Special Edition and it also contains "Astroesque" as a bonus movie.

I didn't know there were two editions. Cool movie, I loved the comics

I also loved this movie and have the original release DVD and didnt know there were 2 releases.

I would also be interested to know if there are any differences for the later release?

As far as I know, having worked with Allred in the past, there was only one DVD version, as far as what was contained on the disc. There was one edition that was sold to the comic book market that featured a cover with artwork by Mike, but the actual DVD was the same, with all the same features. Amazon also lists two versions, one of which is 8 minutes shorter and seemingly out of print: my guess is this is an erroneous listing. I am not aware of any redone version, and the film is indeed 98 minutes long.

While I'm being all anal, the movie is actually not based on a Dark Horse publication, but on an earlier series of Mike's: Grafik Musik/Graphic Musique, published by Caliber and Slave Labor. The subsequent Madman book featuring the G-Men (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books) is actually followed the movie. Mike brought the characters back and retold some of their story.

I really liked this movie.

Although I love looking at her, what the hell was that accent Vanessa Angel was doing?
