Take it off. You find that the English "The Complete Sixth Season" is actually printed right on Homer's head so when you remove the sticker, all you're getting rid of is the French text. Done and done!

I opened up Homer's Head, and the whole thing basically fell apart. Needless to say, I just sent in for my replacement box. Even the non-anal-retentive people at my work were commenting on how stupid looking the case was. I'm surprised Fox didn't "test" this design with anybody.

I don't know why FOX had to be so sarcastic about the whole thing. I'm not closed-minded to change or creativity. It's all about the execution baby, and they did a bad job with that.

Wrong. Disc 1 was a floater in my copy.

After all this angst I was prepared to open my padded envelope from Overstock and find nothing but shards of plastic and the memory of some DVDs.

Much to my amazement what I received was a perfectly serviceable yellow clamshell inside a transparent slipcover. Inside is an ingenious 4-disc carrier that lifts right out and makes it simple to remove the disc of your choice, or the excellent enclosed booklet.

Maybe it's a little gimmicky, but it's hardly the disaster I was expecting. And you know what? The stuff actually on the discs is pretty darned excellent!

I thought the website was funny. I chose "big baby". The packaging is pretty lame, but I think it's pretty cool that Fox is letting us get the old version of the covers for minimal money.

Yeah, I kind of thought people were over-reacting with all the whining. It didn't look *that* bad to me.

Then I picked one up this morning and I will be ordering the replacement after all. I can see what they were going for and respect the attempt, but I can't believe how easily it fell apart.

More importantly though, this thing is a shoplifter's dream. FOX might joke about customers being crybabies, but I think retailers might wind up complaining even more. Hell, beyond loss prevention issues even, I won't be surprised if people start popping these sets open just to take the Replacement Packaging card.

I think it is, it's just a few extra bucks (US bucks) for shipping. Check the website.

How long before the hinges on the plastic crap come apart? I saw this set up on the seasons of CSI, always thought is was stupid and not very sturdy.

If the packaging tanks, FOX will know for certain, If they have to mail out 6 million replacement boxes....

One thing I hate is that they're requiring the original sales receipt.

That means I no longer have an original receipt for the OTHER things I bought at the same time.

I'm sure they were afraid to include "Because Fox should have known better" as a reason-why choice on the website. It would have gotten the most responses.

Got mine from Best Buy and didn't get an 800 insert either. Thank goodness for this site. The whole package is just cumbersome. I'll put it up on my shelf, nice collector aspect, but I want the other packaging.

I got mine at a Best Buy and it had the insert

it's all sealed & ready to go out in the mail tomorrow - these new cases were a funny idea, but they really do stink.
