I really loved the origional,the beating soundtrack/tension , nail biting edgyness ... loved it ...

the remake was just the usual walk through a film knowing when he/her dies an expecting the massivie explosions/shootouts.....

I'm a fan of both the "original" and the new version and think either one is a solid pick-up, but I do think it's funny that there are some who are so offended by what, as you point out, is the remake of essentially a remake. I'm trying to figure out how Carpenter, whose work I generally enjoy, gets to take the moral highground here.

Haven't seen the remake yet. Loved the original. Anyone seen The Nest? Very similar...very good.
