I really have no idea how you can improve the picture quality, since the quality on both movies is flawless.

Awesome that they're re-releasing it for people who haven't had a chance to get it before. The extras are tempting, but I think I'll pass as I was lucky enough to get the Toy Box before it disappeared (and before I knew DVDs went out of print as they do).

all they need to do to get maxium buyer response would be to throw a DTS-ES track on the DVD, but... it seriousily doubt it.

Well since Disney's association with Pixar ends after the release of "Cars", I guess they'll try to milk as much as they can before their animation department turns back into a pumpkin.

they will still retain all the pixar titles released before Cars. They still have distribution and property rights. So all re-releases, sequels, toys, clothing...goes to disney.

Disney has also set up their own Computer animation department. That means nothing without a good story, but I am sure they can find a good story laying around.

I concur, as I am in no hurry to sell off my Ultimate Toy Box Set. There would have to be dramatic improvements in the video and extras to entice me.

The PQ/AQ on the current set I have is immaculate. If I have to pause and zoom in on a screenshot on my 92" front projector screen in order to see 2% improvement on the new release it's not worth it to upgrade IMO. I'm happy with my current set.

Still my favorite Pixar movie and since I don't have the UTB, I'm sure to get this one.

Oh yeah. Eisners last ditch kick of dirt in the face of Pixar for not renewing their contract before he resigns.

Search the movie forum, there are a few threads discussing it.

I knew it!!! That's why I've held off trying to bisd on the OOP Toy Box on ebay. A re-released version with newly-mastered picture and sound seems good. Will defintly pick this one up in September. Any news on a Toy Story 2 SE?

Yes. Not sure if they made it to the single disc version, but I don't believe they did.

That's what would get me, otherwise the UTB is fine.

Actually, I'd love a set of all of Pixar's films in DTS.

Disney loves doing 10th anniversary editions when the movie isn't part of the Platinum Series huh? This year Pocahontas and apparently Toy Story are getting 10th anniversary bumps.
