Blade: Trinity - EXTREME Version?
I just picked up Blade: Trinity here (in Canada). No regular cut releases to be seen, just "Extreme Version"
ON the back: "Extreme version of the film - contains 10 Minutes of More Action!" Running time: Approx 2hr 03 min Is this the same as the US Unrated Disc? |
Where in Canada? I havent been into town to pick up the Director's Cut yet...
As far as Walmart goes, they should have that version. Never heard of an Extreme Version... |

Chronicles of Riddick Pitch Black Eurotrip to name a few, still say "Unrated" on the cover, yet have a canadian rating. Wonder why New Line decided to change it. |

Friend of mine who lives same town as me says he got one called the "extreem edition".
Weird. But Canada gets titles called Unrated. So I don't know why the diff name this time. Maybe there's french/english on the DVD case. |
Or maybe New Line is just playin' ya'll with that "Extreem" version. ;)

Canada = Hockey = Extreme

Ending different than theatrical version?
I know many disliked this movie, but if I recall correctly, at the end of the theatrical release, the body of Blade morphed back into Drake when the autopsy was about to be performed. In the unrated region 1 DVD, Blade wakes up from the table and flattens everyone in the room.
Was the "morph" removed? My understanding is Drake taking the "form" of Blade as he died was his final gift to Blade out of his honor and respect for him. Please correct me if I am wrong. Thanks... D |
My only problem: They should have removed the dialogue from Drake prior to that scene. With it intact, his "gift" makes no sense.

Futureshop have both versions

in all honesty I couldn't tell what the extra 10 minutes of footage was... the movie still sucked, IMO. :D

Could somebody please tell me the differences between Blade: Trinity "R" and "Unrated" versions?

R = Bad acting
Unrated = More Bad Acting |
Oh, thanks. You're so helpful.

But really, because both cuts are not availble on the same disc set, and for those who didn't see the TC, it's a bit difficult for one to say what's been added or changed. |
