I'm aware they were bought out by Sony
a lot of talk on here was about the Midnite Movies franchise, about it folding.
will those become out of print?

but my real question is
what will come of "soul cinema" series?

this is one thing I do not want to lose. thank you.

That's the million dollar question.

At this point, nobody knows what Sony is going to do with MGM's catalog.

Will they continue releasing new catalog titles to DVD, or will they hold them off for hidef release?

Will they continue their various "lines" like Midnight Movies, Soul Cinema, Avant Garde Cinema, World Cinema?

What will happen to existing MGM releases? Will Sony allow them to go out of print, anticipating future hidef sales? Or will they keep the already-released MGM titles in-print?

Will Sony use the purchase of Sony to push hidef on the market, or will they continue to support DVD?

Will sony change the pricing of the Mgm titles so it more reflects sony msrp prices?
