Let us know who you'd like to see interviewed...

lordzeppelin 04-24-05 01:13 AM

Jim Jarmusch. He always seems to have something interesting to talk about...
And how about someone like Christophe Gans or Vincent Cassell, or Mathieu Kassovitz or Lars Von Trier - someone that doesn't get too much attention stateside?

TomOpus 04-24-05 01:29 AM

Guillermo del Toro - Director
Bryan Singer - Director
David Fincher - Director

Rudy Behlmer- he'd be choice not only for his film historian background but also because he does a TON of DVD commentaries, and on pretty important films too.

David Fincher

Drexl 04-25-05 01:54 AM

If you could get him, Oliver Stone would be interesting. I'd like to hear him talk about the Alexander DVD (and whether it will be edited or not), and his comments comparing DVD to "mail-order sex."

Is Mel Brooks a possibility? Later this year would be a good time as the rumored DVDs and The Producers movie are released.

Fincher would be nice, but I don't think he has anything coming soon to talk about. I mean, he's working on a film, but it could be a while before it comes out in theaters, let alone on DVD. He also probably doesn't have any DVDs in production unless we're finally going to get that SE of The Game.

Numanoid 04-25-05 10:06 AM

David Lynch.

I have the following lined up for this week:

Chris Pontius - Wild Boyz
John Flansburgh - They Might Be Giants/ Here Come The ABCs

More to follow :)

RyoHazuki 04-25-05 06:18 PM

Wrong forum n00b ;)

I second David Lynch. He would probably be very interesting especially concerning his dvds.

Cameron 04-25-05 06:44 PM

John Flansburgh should be great....i need to get his new disc....

David Lynch would be a good one, and I am not sure he has ever advertised his website only movies anywhere else...so there ya go.

Decker 04-26-05 01:26 AM

Ridley Scott -- one of the best supporters of DVD extras among top-shelf directors. He has a new film to promote, so who knows?

Ridley Scott
Robert Rodriguez

as to a director: Terry Gilliam.

Lloyd Kaufman
Robert Rodriguez
George Romero
Rob Zombie

Just off the top of my head...

Dr. Calamari 04-26-05 03:56 PM

I'd like to hear George Feltenstein of Warner Home Video interviewed. They're doing some terrific work with their boxed sets, and they have an extensive library of old movies that have yet to be released.
I'd also enjoy an interview with someone from Koch Lorber Films, since I received a copy of "La Dolce Vita" recently and was very impressed with the great restoration job they did with it.

Mr. Cinema 04-26-05 04:36 PM

Doug Liman

slop101 04-26-05 06:15 PM

With the Aviator dvd coming soon, I'm sure Martin Scorsese would love to chat about it and his views on dvd.

GeoffK 04-27-05 01:17 PM

Were also working on Lloyd Kaufman... for his 'Make Your Own Damn Movie' box set.

Another question... we do a radio segment for KNRK here in portland. Is this something you guys would like to see added to DVD Talk Radio.

Here's today's segment: http://www.dvdtalkradio.com/DVDTalkO...ontApril27.mp3
