What do you want to bet they're holding off so they can release it to tie in with Murray's BROKEN FLOWERS. It's getting good buzz, and with an acting nomination for Murray, they can piggy-back on the marketing of its DVD release and get more sales for QUICK CHANGE.

I've had this pre-ordered for MONTHS from DDD. This is truly rotten news.

I suppose I'll have to remove this item from my last amazon order now, which was scheduled to ship on Aug. 30.

In 2010, 11.23 won't even be enough to buy a can of soda.

This just happened with another film that I have been waiting for. A Fine Mess with Howie Mandel and Ted Danson was supposed to be released on DVD Aug 2 and when the 2nd came around no retailers had it, and was listed as discontinued on any websites that still had it listed. Quick Change and A Fine Mess were the last two VHS tapes I own and was looking forward to getting rid of. Does anyone know if Quick Change and A Fine Mess are from the same studios? Anybody have any clue why this happened?

Why can't releasing a dvd just be simple?

Just release it and see if it sells. If not, stop printing them and move on. When studios pull tricks like this, it just makes them look silly. There is always a market for movies with Bill Murray, wether it be now or later, people will be interested in what he has/does do as an actor.

So just release it and not make this seem like a science project.

RIGHT ON! A lot of the etailors have quick change listed as being released on December 29, 2006. Hopefully 12/29/06 and 1/1/10 are both wrong dates and its being released a lot sooner.

Just officially canceled my amazon order for this, since it now actually says 2010 as the release date on the site. What a shame. Someone really dropped the ball on this one.

so why did someone drop the ball, or "pull tricks like this".
tricks like what?

it was announced, they changed there mind or something happened between now and when it was announced preventing the release.

get over it.
it'll get released eventually.

i wanted it to but there must be some reason not to release it now.
you people are acting like they did it on purpose to get under your skin.

It kind of seems like it, doesn't it? They have their reasons, nobody here has to agree with their reasons though.

We all buy the dvds they produce!

We shall see when it is eventually released.
