Superman: The Animated Series - Possible dates for Volume 2 and 3

Well, our industry sources have provided a possible answer. With the long-awaited new feature film, Superman Returns, being aimed at a June 2006 theatrical debut, the folks at Warner want to spend the next year carefully setting up tie-ins that will help boost the awareness of this film. Toward that end, they've set up a tentative schedule that shows a Superman: The Animated Series - Volume 2 release in the Christmas 2005 timeframe, probably in December. And then Superman: The Animated Series - Volume 3 would hit in June 2006, just in time to tie in with the film. |

Agreed. I've already watched all 18 episodes from the Season 1 set. December is a long way off... :( |
Wow, January to December. That's a hellava long time frame between releases. Especially when Batman Vol. 3 comes out in mid-May. Surely they'll release it more around the October time frame rather than December.

Anyone know how many eps will be on these? I like how they are doing the Batman series more. More eps and less time in between.

Maybe this is a sign that they will start releasing Batman Beyond or Justice League sets in the meantime. I can only hope... An entire year between the Superman sets is just ridiculous.
