One thing that has bothered everyone was/is the way WB made their SNAP-cases -ohbfrank-

Region coding.

Nearly half of my DVDs are from regions other than region 1 (Asian cinema, anime, films from Europe), so any player I own must be region-free. That means I can't just walk into a store and purchase a DVD player and expect it to play all my discs. I can't take many of my discs over to friends' places or lend them out.

There are ways around this, but we're talking about annoyances here, and region coding bugs me a lot more than missing inserts or snap cases.

Speaking of that metal T2 case, I didn't have a problem with it until I noticed it was scratching up the packaging of some other DVDs I had placed near it. DVD cases shouldn't be able to damage other titles in your collection.

Well, I hate P&S disc. If they did not exist and everything was OAR I would be able to deal with all the other BS that irritates me such as forced trailers and FBI warnings.

The layer change is irritating, but I know it will leave when I buy a new player. My player is a name brand, and retailed for like $1500, but it is also the first progressive scan unit by Toshiba (in America). I will get a new player soon enough though.
