Leave it to Shout Factory! This is one of my favorite shows ever. Still have all the episodes boxed away on VHS, plus the 2 Rhino DVDs. Excited to see what extras they have in store.

Maybe this means the standalone DVD's will become rare collector's items? You could get a few grand a piece... sorta like High Fidelity.

That was the case with the original volume releases. I think for some of the episodes, the original laugh-track free audio simply doesn't exist anymore.

This pic was just posted on the show's official Facebook page. Nothing new an terms of an extras announcement, but I'm still pretty pumped for this set.

Thanks, I just couldn't find it.

Something is really screwy here. No Chris Elliot commentary? He did do commentary for the shows- He said that had just finished them in a Q&A that he did in Boston a few years ago. Was that the compromise that had to be made to get them on DVD? Is there that much animosity between Mirkin and Elliot now?

This set's in my hands, so I can finally believe it's been released. I'm only on the second disc, but am having a blast going through the show again.
Kinda regret not selling my two best of DVDs when the prices were insanely high, but oh well.

Aside from the theme, which is confirmed as the original, is all of the other original music intact?

From the DVDTalk review:
http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/56525...mplete-series/
Shout Factory has ponied up the cash to make these episodes complete, so "Stand" opens each episode, but there's plenty more great music in the episodes that make the show such a product of its time and lend it a serious cachet of hipness. If you can find another network comedy with a montage set to Depeche Mode's "Master and Servant," I'd legitimately like to see it. (And no, Glee is not a comedy, no matter what the Emmys think.) Throughout the series, you get great soundtrack choices, including Roy Orbison's "Pretty Woman," the Bee-Gees' "How Deep is Your Love" and James Brown's "Living in America," all of which are used to great effect.
