Emmanuelle Collection (Emmanuelle 1, 2 and Goodbye Emmanuelle) - Anchor Bay R1

Are the AB prints of the films remastered or at least cleaned up? I was wondering because reviews on Amazon and the like dont mention a remaster, just "Widescreen (Anamorphic?) Uncut prints" :)
The old Winstar print of No 1 wasnt remastered (or anamorphic) and it looked awful. :(
I have seen No 1 (have a cut version on VHS somewhere) but not the other two. I think theyre meant to be an acquired taste though... :D

What I don't like about the Emmanuelle series is that they were made before the change in, shall I say, grooming techniques, in certain areas of the body.

What's that have to do with AB's discs being remastered or not? Absolutely nothing! ;)

at first I thought it said "Emmanuel Lewis collection" so I had to check it out.

aren't these films just soft-core porn?

Yeah, with French babes. And you know what that means...hairy pu...er, umm...arm pits.

:D Yes basically they are, though the first one isn't a "bad" film in its' own perameters (sp?) IMO.
Slyvia Kristel was Dutch (confusingly).

These bring back fond memories of sneaking around late at night watching late-night HBO/Cinemax as a kid.

A couple of the films are censored in R2 land though, the first for rape/sexual violence, the third for the same thing (or hardcore?)

Same here, bring on the furry kitties.

Remastered? You mean the scrambled blue/green faces and bodies are devoid of any edge enhancement?

I don't get why guys are phobic about pubic hair? It is natural, and as long as it is not insanely long/messy/thick...it looks alright too my eyes.

So bring on the foxy hairy ladies!!!!!!

Halitosis is natural too, but someone invented mouthwash. :)

Well, when it comes to the Emmanuelle series, the pubic hair was as you say, "long/messy/thick". The first of this series was made back in the '70s and back then, as you may or may not know, the grooming of said hair was very different than it is today, especially in Europe.
