They ever do SE for Ghost?
 

They ever do a SE for movie "Ghost" or solid transfer? Couple times a year I remember how this would be a great present for few relatives. Then I remember that I only seen a bargain bin version that looks abit questionable in quality. Which I find odd considering how girls as whole went crazy for this flick and how well it did at boxoffice.

you'll discover that the current release is quite good - in fact the review states <i>""Ghost" gets a particularly solid special edition".</i>

Also, don't be fooled by the bargain bin price. It's the same disc that was originally priced as a normal release. Paramount and other studios have lowered prices on titles over the years, and these get put in bargain sections.

In fact, I would say that the vast majority of discs you see in the bargain sections (and even some of the discs in the $5.88 bin at Wal-Mart) are these quality titles that have gotten price drops, unless it's an ultra-bargain bin with discs for $3 or less. Now, some of them are single-disc versions of what were originally 2-disc sets, but the A/V quality is the same. It kind of sucks when I see stuff I paid $20 or more for selling for $7.50 or less.

You do have to watch out for older releases that got new transfers and/or special editions, but the older version is still selling, i.e., the original non-anamorphic flipper version of Goodfellas in a snapper case.

The current version of Ghost is pretty good.
