"Alone In The Dark" May 10th
This just made my night. Didnt get to see this in thatres but i will be picking it up. And no this isnt a joke.
All info stolen from DVDanswers.com Lions Gate Home Entertainment has announced the Uwe Boll directed Alone In The Dark which stars Christian Slater, Tara Reid and Stephen Dorff. The film, which is based on the fourth videogame in the best-selling Atari series, will be available to own from the 10th May this year. The retail price will be set at around $27.98. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen along with both DTS 6.1 ES and Dolby Digital 5.1 EX tracks. Extras will include an audio commentary with director Uwe Boll, an Into the Dark: The Making of Alone in the Dark featurette, a featurette on the visual effects of the film entitled Shedding A Light, a trivia track, music videos and storyboard to film comparisons. |
Audio commentary eh? I might have to make it a Blockbuster night then. I hope it's as good as the commentary on The Postman ;)

I just preordered this at DVDEmpire! :)

HAHAHAHA, somebody posted on dvdanswers that fangoria magazine actually gave the movie a 1 out of 5, yet, whoever did the cover art still used a quote from the article.
Definitely going to rent this (if only to see how bad it truly is).
Just watched the trailer on the film's website and It looks an awful lot like a re-do of "The Relic". That and the note that the director's previous work was "House of the dead" smells like stinker to me. Mind you, I did find the Relic fairly enjoyable but, not enjoyable enough to watch it with Tara Reid & Christian Slater.

I'm upset. I would actually buy this rubish if they included a free copy of the first PC game. My 3D0 version got stolen a few years ago.
I'll rent it and watch it and then pee on it.
They should show this movie to people on death row...it'll make them look forward to it!
Nice cover art though...I thought for sure it would be a victim of the floating head syndrome. |

http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/gigli/ According to the reviewers, it's significantly worse than Gigli. It appears to have set new records in terribleness. I can't wait to *flix it. "Saying Uwe Boll’s Alone in the Dark is better than his 2003 American debut House of the Dead is akin to praising syphilis for not being HIV." -- Nicholas Schager, SLANT MAGAZINE Oh, snap! |
After reading the Uwe Boll interviews that were posted on the internet in the months leading up to the release of AitD, I can only imagine what the commentary is going to be like.
haha i really wanna buy this actually, i think it'll be a hilarious film to watch with buddies.
