I didn't even know another Crow movie was in the works. I wonder how many they plan on making. Unfortunately, Tara Reid keeps me away from this movie like krytonite.

None of the "stars" are bankable enough tho to bring the franchise back from the dead, so to speak. It had "straight-to-DVD" written all over it.

Heard about this a while back when Furlong was first attached but had since forgotten about it. I'll check it out when it comes out but so far there has only been one good Crow flick.

Actually Salvation had Kirsten Dunst, I think she had just hit it big with Bring It On right before they released this. It also had the aformentioned Eric Mabius and that Brunette Chick from Nash Bridges. The new one has David Boreanuz(sp?) Tara Reid & Edward Furlong, so who wouldn't wanna see it :D

Corvin 02-22-05 12:23 AM

Thanks for the news. I'll see it, and probably buy it, but I doubt it's going to be pretty.

Crow331 02-22-05 03:40 AM

You forgot Dennis Hopper in the new one as well ...

crankyman 02-22-05 11:19 AM

oh christ.

i love the crow. i kinda wish they would stop 'banking' on it when they are so terrible in comparison.

but who am i kidding...i'll watch it.

Crow331 02-24-05 01:27 AM

This comes from DVDAnswers.com regarding the Wicked Prayer details ...

Anamorphic widescreen transfer and English Dolby Digital 5.1 track, the disc will include a filmmaker audio commentary, deleted scenes, storyboards, a feature on the production design and a behind the scenes featurette. We'll bring you the official package artwork very shortly. Stay tuned.

animatedude 04-28-05 05:51 AM

i wonder if they will release a boxed set with all the four movies...i doubt it...although iam sure there will be a R2 box set with all the 4 movies.

neilo13 04-28-05 08:47 AM

I already own the R1 Box set, guess I will have to blind buy this one, I really enjoyed the third one (Salvation), however I don't know if this series needs to keep going, the plots haven't really varied that much, man and someone he loves are killed, man comes back from dead, hangs out with birds, exacts revenge, then returns to the dirt nap. I mean maybe if the Skull Cowboy scenes had been left incact and he was a continuing character throughout the series it could be slightly more interesting, although I did like the crooked cop trying to steal the Crow's power in Salvation. Don't get me wrong, I love this series probably more than your average joe, I just don't want it to turn into a yearly crapfest.

Was Stairway to Heaven a TV series? I vaguely remember hearing about it, and that is was just a retelling of the first movie, but never saw it. From what I'm reading here it has not been released on dvd, is it worth seeking out?

Crow331 04-28-05 11:40 AM

Only the first episode was a retelling of the first movie (actually it might of been a 2 parter), but after that, it was on it's own as far as stories go. I admit that I hated it when it first started, but as it went on, I actually liked it. There were some good stories and it was definitely interesting but mostly because it was a definite departure from the film while still keeping in the spirit of it all. There was even a female crow in one of the episodes. I'll pick it up if it ever comes to dvd.

neilo13 04-28-05 12:35 PM

Well it looks like there were 22 episodes of Stairway, and by browsing through a thread on imdb, it appears that the series is available in other regions (r2?). Anyone have more details? If it ever comes out R1, sign me up for a blind buy!

animalmystic 04-28-05 02:15 PM

I really liked the first one, didn't see any of the others after that.

Wait edit, I did see the one with Mia  The Crow: City of Angels, it was ok didn't get into it much.

As for marketability and cast, its not like the first one was Oceans 11, I mean it had Brandon, but who else, Michael Wincott, not a big draw there. But it was definitely my favorite :)

the Candyman himself, Tony Todd, was in it!

If StH is available in other regions, I might have to find it.

Cornelius1047 04-28-05 03:12 PM

It also had the black Ghostbuster, Mr. Ernie Hudson. If that's not enough to sell a movie, I don't know what is...
