Holy crap! I didn't even know this had been released. I read DVDActive every day and stay pretty current on the board, but they keep on managing to sneak these releases by me. I guess the studios just don't bother too much with press releases for old '80s comedies. Check one more off my 'not yet on dvd' list.

There was a scene in the script where Barney lets loose his powers at a convenience store but apparently it was never filmed.

Finally watched this for the first time ever this past weekend. It reminded me of one of those Disney "Dexter" comedies-- the ones starring Kurt Russell-- only R-Rated.
Loved Barney's spaceship model-- they took a Millenium Falcon, turned it backwards and glued Enterprise nacelles onto it! It actually looked pretty good!
I really miss Scatman Crothers.
Had no idea Aunt Esther was in it!!!!!
I feel kind of bad for Willie Aames. To become a born-again Christian and have a movie like this in your resume...
