Might have to pick this up if I can find a super deal on it somewhere.

Fudge. That's a cool looking cover, love the artwork. But I already own the first 2 so I guess I'll just grab the third one by itself when it comes out. If they had added anything, it would be a different story.

animatedude 02-17-05 02:47 PM

this is expensive! for a movie that was a flop & 2 other movies were released ages ago i think it's pricey...plus they should sell the slip cover like the LOTR!...

Sawing-eet.

Wick 02-17-05 03:37 PM

I'll probably just get the first and the third, in single releases. I already own part 2 (2 disc) and $71.98 AMERICAN is a little expensive. Especially, since it'll be about $85 Cdn. or so (I'm sure my math is off..).

Dr. DVD 02-17-05 04:49 PM

I wonder if New Line will do what they did with the LOTR EEs and offer a box by itself for a small fee?

FWIW, I don't think part III was a total flop, but agree that it must have disappointed. IMO, they should have either released it at Halloween or in the months of March and April, but not Christmastime. That was just stupid.

I doubt it, simply because of the nature of the films. The LOTR films were something special, and the EE DVD releases were treated as such, even down to the well made box to hold the trilogy. I bet the "box" for this well simply be cheap paper, much like the box that held the theatrical releases of LOTR.

The Blade series just isn't something that would strike me as a series of films that New Line would do something like that for.

animatedude 02-17-05 05:34 PM

i highly doubt that this is the price of the set...i mean it's even more expensive than the star wars & the Harry Potter sets!!!!

OldBoy 02-17-05 05:45 PM

and the reason you couldn't post this here is??
yet again?

MSRP people. Say it with me. M-S-R-P.

VoreLord 02-17-05 06:16 PM

I'll wait for the big super-duper directors amalgamated edition in a couple more years.

wennma01 02-18-05 12:46 AM

any ideas what the actual price will be for it?

From Post #1...

Blade Giftset (3-Pack)
Street Date: 4/26/05
MSRP: $71.98

Let's say an average of 30% off retail, we are looking at around $50.

Btw, is the 2-disc Blade 2 OOP?

I was about to say the same thing. I also wish my Blade copy (which I got back to when the movie came out) was not a snap case.

MSRP? lol what's that?

Snowmaker 02-18-05 07:41 AM

I may have to pick this up since I've never bought either of the first two.

Big Worms 02-18-05 08:32 AM

I know I will end up getting it. The price is just MSRP, so it will be cheaper.

No, but it's slowly being phased-out by the single-disc bare-bones edition.

Animatedude, MRSP is Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price, it's basically the highest price that a store can sell it at.

 Nice - thanks! I may just have to do that. It is a little pricey though.

matome 02-18-05 11:18 AM

Love the films, but since I have the first two discs already, I just can't justify the price for the set (even for the keepcase of Blade).

Same here . . . I avoided getting the first two when I heard that the third one was coming out.

Squirrel God 02-18-05 07:53 PM

I already have the first two and Blade is already in a keepcase (Canadian R1) so I'll just be picking up Blade Trinity on its own. Already pre-ordered it for $17 :)

blindrocket 02-18-05 08:49 PM

I wouldn't mind this but even at fifty bucks it's still too high, IMO.
I do have the first two already but I hate the godawful cardboard case for the first one.
