Imagine my surprise when my wife called me at work and said, Umm, you got some weird DVDs from UPS today. It says "The...ya...Yazuka Papers?" "What the heck is that?" "It's 5 DVDs!"

At first I was confused until she told me I won the December DVDtalk drawing.

I've never seen these movies but after reading about them I'm really excited to see them. I'm a big Sergio Leone fan and it sounds like these are in the same style with a bit of Tarantino thrown in.

This “Major Award” beats that old fish-net stocking leg lamp I won last year. ;)

So you won the December drawing? And just now getting the package. So DVDTalk doesn't send a "hey you won, expect the DVDs soon" email at the close of each drawing? I guess I'll have to wait another month or two to see if I was one of the Battlestar Galactica or Sky Captain & The World of Tomorrow winners before getting either of those discs. I forget do they have an option when you enter to recieve a list of the winners?

I always wondered if anyone actually won those contests. I've entered quite a few times but never won and have never heard of anyone actually winning before.
