U2 Go Home

I happened to see this concert DVD at Best Buy. Did not know U2 had a new album after the Elevation one. How is this DVD's picture and sound quality as it is in widescreen and dts sound? Thanks.

It is the one that is live from slane castle in ireland (at least i think it is ). The reason it is called go home is because they are home, it is the elevation tour. The picture is not the best, but the audio is great. And i will say that this is their best consert dvd. So get it. It is way better in my opinon than the live from boston dvd.

Yes it is. It's a very similar set to the Boston show, but I'm a sucker for DTS concert DVDs and really wanted to have One done live (it was edited out of the Boston show), so this was an easy purchase for me.

Great, detailed review of the DVD here

Performance is excellent, sound is excellent, picture quality is adequte. If your a U2 fan I wouldn't pass it up.

U2 is proabably the only band I would classify as actually being "too big". There is Big and then there is U2. I'm glad there are so many fans out there, but in my opinion, it sure would be nice to actually go to a ticketmaster at 10am and actually not have a problem getting seats to one of their shows, It;s ridicolous. U2 are the Beatles of our generation

I know its pretty scary, they are actually getting bigger. Not only are they selling out 3 and 4 arena shows in the same city in minutes. In europe, multi date stadiums are selling out.

Thanks guys. After reading the review from the link posted and reading from this thread, I'll definitely get this DVD. Thanks again.

I love this concert. Our generation needs a band bigger than life. I wonder if there will be anyone to fill U2's shoes when they retire...

Right now, looks dubious at best...

Totally agree. It's almost comforting to find a band that starts big, stays huge and keeps up both the popularity and quality over decades. Today's pop and rock is so disposable. Very few artists even last a decade anymore (then again, neither did The Police or The Beatles). I like having a BIG rock band around, and I like it even more since it's U2.

I went to my local Circuit City right before the Super Bowl and pick this DVD up for just $15.99. That is very good price I think considering most place including BestBuy and Fry's have it for $24.99. Thanks again.

U2 needs to release the ZooTV and PopMart videos that they put out on VHS!

Great DVD, you qwon't be disappointed. Be aware that it comes packaged two ways: You'll find it in the CD section packaged in a CD-type jewel case. You can find it in the DVD section in a Digipak.

At least the ZooTV one. That was an awesome concert and stage setup.

I saw it in the first leg of the tour before they redid it and added outdoor stadiums to the second leg.

They were supposed to come out, then cancelled :(

I know there's the 1990-2000 video collection out. Was there a 1980-1990 video collection that was released and is know OOP?

Thanks guys again. I love this DVD. Great songs and great sound, picture could have been better, but no complain. Highly recommended!

I just watched this DVD again this past weekend. Great sound (esp DTS) and adequate picture. Definitely a must buy for any U2 fan.

I wish they weren't so "big" either. If I recall U2 played only once here way back in the The Unforgettabe Fire. I never saw them since I was young. :(

No, there wasn't. That's something else the band needs to release.
