Since this movie is propaganda, and was presumably intended to appeal to Germans of the era, it provides an interesting look at how Germans wanted to see themselves and their Nation.

I don't understand the comments like the one about the political content being "quite repellant." I'd be interested in knowing just what is so "repellant" in the content? There is one reference in the movie to something about "racial purity" (I don't remember the exact wording), but otherwise, there is virtually no "political content" in this movie that's any different from what you see everyday right here in the US.

The Nazis talk about God, they talk about wanting peace, they talk about the equality of all German labor, and they praise their leader. In between these speeches the movie shows images of rosy cheeked children, youth campouts, political rallies, and parades. It's all BS of course, but there is no advocacy of the kind of policies the world later learned were practiced by these evil liars. The movie does not talk specifically about Jews, concentration camps, or the other evils of Nazism. And it's fascinating to see Hitler standing up in an open car driving along city streets among thousands of people, apparently unafraid of assassination. I don't think the content would be perceived as "repellant" without 65 years of hindsight.

Also, I would imagine the German government would censor much of it.

No there are no English subs and the film is still easily a fascinating viewing experience.

The second question I will leave without an answer.
