WWE: Best of 2003 12 DVD box set?
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...761834-5562240
Supposedly comes out on Tuesday. Anyone know what's on it?!??! |
I'd assume this is the 12 Pay Per Views of 2003. They each had spines that combined to form "2003" when placed next to each other.

whoa!
what Nitro said.. |
A shame half of those shows aren't worth owning.

Actually, Wrestlemania was pretty good, and the Royal Rumble was decent, but the rest were forgetable
|
The first half of the Rumble match is amazing, but the last chunk of it is absolute torture to get through. WM had about two or three good matches and the fact that they played up the race angle with HHH and Booker, only to decide to keep the strap on HHH at the 11th hour, really soured the show for me.
|
I used to be a big wrestling fan...was a loyal viewer of both RAW and SMACKDOWN, but about a year ago, the story lines just got too stupid to follow and other real life things just became more important and I quit watching wrestling all together. A few years ago, I'd jump on the chance to get this, but it just doesn't do anything for me anymore.

Be so sweet if they made these box sets for every year from late 80's

Uhm, $200?
No. Thanks. |

I'd love them to release sets of old PPVs, but aside from a Wrestlemania set, which already seems like a pipe dream, I just don't have faith or patience in the company to get the job done. These Tagged Classics in R2 are coming out at a steady clip, so I'm just gonna stick with those for now. The first six WMs, and first two Royal Rumbles (excluding '88), Summerslams, and Survivor Series are already out, as well as several of the old In Your House shows. No extras or anything, but for me, the shows on DVD is enough for me. |

Nothing's blurred, but then again, everything I've seen is pre-Attitude Era, meaning there's no scratch logos to begin with. And I don't believe "WWF" is edited out, although I should check it again just to be sure. Don't recall any editing, though.
And that'd be a good place to look. The Silvervision website has them, as well. |
Would be good to know if the word "WWF" were blurred.
Wish there were a R2 equivalent to DDD. On another note, I wonder how they can get away with "Hulk" Hogan. |
while not worth the steep price tag alone, the Kurt Angle/Chris Benoit match at Royal Rumble 2003 is one of the best of all time.
After the match was over, they cut to a promo of the next PPV and had to cut it short because the match (and Benoit) was getting a huge standing ovation from the crowd. A really cool scene. |
Maybe they’re doing this boxset because most 2003 PPVs suck and they have so many left over.
Basically, the RR and WM are the only good ones in this set. I have WM 19 (cause I collect WM) and No Mercy 2003 (cause I was there). |
Is it 100% confirmed that the best of WWE set is just all of the 2003 PPVs? Has anyone bought it to find out? Amazon really need to update with some real info....
