Trying to locate 'Redline 5000'

I am trying to locate 'Redline 5000' (I believe that's the correct name). It was a California street racing movie from the 1980's (?) that involved a porsche and a corvette racing. Can anyone help me find it? Thanks

Closest I could find is "Red Line 7000" but it is 1965 and looks to have only be released in VHS...

I remember seeing Redline 5000 on TV a long time ago. It starred James Caan long before he attained his "Godfather" popularity. You must be thinking of another movie.

'Redline 5000' or 'King of the Mountain'?

Maybe it was called 'King of the Mountain? Does that ring any bells. All I remember is that it was about racing on Mulholland Drive in LA, at night. Maybe it starred Harry Hamlin?
