Alfie (Jude Law) due 3/15

January 18, 2005 - Paramount Home Entertainment will release Alfie the remake of a Michael Caine filme starring Jude Law in the title role on March 15 for a suggested price of $29.95. The DVD will come in both widescreen and fullscreen editions.
In addition to the two transfers and the usual Dolby Digital 5.1 audio, the DVDs will come with a fair number of extras. They include:
# Commentary by writer//director Charles Shyer and film editor Padraic McKinley
# Commentary by Shyer and writer/producer Elaine Pope
# Round Table - A discussion on the film's production hosted by Shyer.
# The Women of Alfie featurette
# The World of Alfie featurette
# Gedde Watanabe Dance Footage, with optional commentary by Shyer and Pop.
# Let The Music In featurettes
# Deleted scenes with optional commentary
# Production gallery
# Storyboard gallery
# Script gallery

Paramount recently cut the list price of the original 1966 version, starring Michael Caine, in half.
It's now available at DDD and other etailers for under $10, for those interested.
